Program Overview:

Upstage staff will be working with students on the choreography, acting scenes and songs from Sound of Music over a three week period. Campers will be taught performance technique and theatre training under the umbrella of the show rehearsals. They will be working with a director, musical director and choreographer all through camp and will receive group, as well as individual instruction. Casting is taken very seriously and is based on creating a challenge for each student while allowing them to succeed. We split lead roles and make sure all campers stay very busy during the show. The camp culminates with two fully realized performances complete with lights, sound, set and full costumes.

Class Details: 

  • Camp dates are Monday – Friday, July 19th to August 7th, 2021 (final Saturday performance)
  • Performances are Friday, August 6th at 6:30 pm & Saturday, August 7th at 2 pm
  • Camp days run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
  • Drop off begins at 8:30 and pick up ends at 3:45 pm 
  • Camp will be held at The Pico, 10508 Pico Boulevard
  • Sign-in and sign-out will be outside of The Pico
  • Appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed and enforced
  • Grown-ups will not enter the camp venue to comply with our Covid Safety Protocol
  • There will be three creative teachers (director, musical director and choreographer), one production director, and counselors on sight 
  • Parents will need to pack snacks, lunch and water for the kids
  • Campers will be provided with a script, downloadable musical tracks, and a camp t-shirt
  • Campers will perform in costumes provided by Upstage
  • Final performances will be held at a venue complying with the COVID guidelines at the time

Pre/After Care

Drop-off available as early as 8:30 am and pick up by 3:45 pm at no extra charge.

Sibling/Multiple Session Discount

A discount is available to those enrolling more than one child or one child in multiple sessions. The discount is equal to 15% off the full price for each additional child or session.
