Description
Program Overview:
Upstage staff will be working with students in two separate age groups, 1st-5th grade and 6th-8th grade on songs, dances, and performances such as ‘One Short Day’, ‘Defying Gravity’, and More! Each day will be packed with group activities as well as individual instruction. There will not be specific casting during this week, however campers will be given material to work on and use to develop overall performance skills. We will be rehearsing both groups at the same venue, while tailoring activities and schedules to suit each group’s unique needs and skill levels. The week will culminate in an informal presentation, showcasing the students’ efforts over the 5 day camp.
- Pricing: $16/hr ($540.00 total or 2 installments of $278.00)
- Camp dates are Monday – Friday, August 4 – August 8, 2025 from 9:00am to 3:30pm
- Final presentation is on Friday, August 8 at 2:30pm
- Drop off begins at 8:30am and pick up ends at 3:45pm
- Camp will be held at The Pico, 10508 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064
- Sign-in and sign-out will be outside of The Pico
- Appropriate Health and Safety protocols will be followed and enforced
- There will be three creative teachers (director, musical director and choreographer), one production director, and counselors on-sight
- Parents will need to pack snacks, lunch and water for the kids
The teachers are highly qualified with many aggregate years of experience in children’s theatre.
