Upstage is bringing new and traditional shows to our programs this Spring.

When you look at the lineup of shows we’re doing this Spring in our schools and community programs, it really is a mix of old and new.
101 DALMATIANS
ANNIE
BEAUTY & THE BEAST
GREASE
MATILDA
THE LITTLE MERMAID
MEAN GIRLS
FROZEN
We’re doing Beauty & The Beast at our new school Palisades Charter, and you might have noticed this is our go-to show for the first time at a school, as well as being a hardy perennial throughout our seasons. Simply put, B&B is a great show that works at any performing level and age. It translates really well to a junior version and the story is compelling enough to keep the audience glued to their seats.
Mean Girls will be featured a lot this Spring and beyond. It’s a more sophisticated version of High School Musical (some would say with better music!) The general consensus from kids – including mine- is the show is better than the new movie. We’ll let that debate continue.
Finally a shout out to Grease which is making its way back to popularity. The songs are spectacular and it’s a really fun show to watch and perform.
We’re excited to see how these shows turn out in the coming months, please let us know what you think.
