Hi All,
It’s a new day, a new dawn as we now dare to imagine a life back to normal.
Here at Upstage we are turning all our focus on our plans for summer theatre camps. Registration will open around the beginning of February and I can tell you, yes, everything depends on the state of the country by June 2021, but we will be organizing in-person camps at all our locations. Here’s the rundown:

Camps will be Monday-Friday in-person, indoors following proper guidelines

All safety protocols laid out for youth camps by the CDC for that time period, will be strictly followed (these may include masks, social distancing, limited capacity, symptom checking, etc)

Programs will consist of one week themed theatre workshop camps9am-3pm, with a limited presentation on the final day, and/or our traditional three week camp with full performance in an outdoorvenue

We plan to honor the show titles and timing of our camps from Summer 2020 with the exception of Cats (if you have a credit for the specific show we will be in touch soon).

We’re currently limiting enrollment to 30 kids.

We will start a waitlist once the camps are full – if we can accommodate more kids we will.

Parents who kept their payment for a specific Summer 2020 camp with Upstage from last summer will be guaranteed a spot.

Those registered for camp last year (regardless of your credit/refund status), will be given priority registration for Summer 2021.

We plan on developing online summer programs for those who cannot attend in person. Registration for these online camps will open closer to summer.

As with last summer, we are in a position to guarantee full refunds or credits as per our terms.
We think schools will have to go back in person in the fall, and Upstagesummer camps will be the perfect transition experience for kids who have had little opportunity for social and emotional development, by then, for well over a year. But as with everything during these challenging times, we will adopt a very flexible strategy and will change course quickly as needed.
